LETSAI stands for "Learning Through Skills Acquisition Initiative:. LETSAI is a humanitarian organisation that devote her strength to meeting the needs and empowering of the vulnerable and the displaced persons especially in emergency and in developing society. Where smiles are put on the faces of people. It was originally created by Mariam Aliyu in 2018 and has been updated and extended by because of the humanitarian activities it has been carrying out since then.

The role of Learning Through Skills Acquisition Initiative (LETSAI) in emergency cannot be over emphasized. She is a youth led, women focused non-profit organisation established in June 2015. LETSAI was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in March 2018 with registration number CAC/IT/N0 107330.

LETSAI particularly targets women, youths and children, the most vulnerable members of the society, it addresses protection through sustainable livelihood, Gender Based Violence (GBV), psychosocial support through women groups and counselling session and women empowerment interventions. The organisation works with the relevant stakeholders towards peace building, sensitize women on GBV, management of survivors of violence by building and developing the skills of women and young girls. Hygiene promotion as a component where best practices of hygiene are being enhanced through house-to-house sensitization. The organisational value includes timeliness, good attitude, integirty, excellence and professionalism while mainstreaming gender in all her interventions.

Our vision is to create an enabling environment where the innate poteltial and creative energy of these can be fully and effectively harnessed in order to give them a sense of belonging and worth in today's highly competitive world.

Our mission is to add value to the life of vulnerable and marginalized through planned initiatives and well-coordinated interventions designed to provide practical solutions and bring relief to these long-neglected groups.

Although the entire communities are the ultimate beenficiaries of LETSAI's programs and activities, but the major support is for the vulnerable and marginalized communities. Activities such as interventions, peace building and youth development may cover community as a whole in order to achieve overall socio-economic transformation and thus contribute to the well-being of the community at large.
