Accessibility of public services

During July–September 2026, LETSAI worked with consultants from the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities and local stakeholders to assess five public facilities. Assessments covered entrances, ramps, doorways, toilets, circulation and signage. Audit findings inform recommendations and planned retrofitting.

Public awareness and accessible information

Radio discussions, town halls and journalist training bring disability rights into public debate. Recent participatory workshops also involve organisations of persons with disabilities in developing accessible information and communication materials.

WORKING ACROSS SECTORS

Inclusion in protection, health and livelihoods

A person facing an inaccessible clinic may also need protection, income support or a community referral. SIDLIK links disability-rights advocacy with public-service access, peer support and economic participation, while LETSAI’s wider programmes address gender-based violence, child rights and mental health.
